Danielle Alvarez is a Marine Resource Protection Program Associate at the California Marine Sanctuary Foundation where she supports the Protecting Blue Whales and Blue Skies Program with geospatial data analysis and engages with BWBS participating shipping lines to further whale conservation efforts. Danielle has worked in marine conservation for nearly a decade, specializing in geospatial analysis of highly migratory species, like endangered sea turtles and whales, and working on research projects across California, the Southeast U.S., and the Caribbean. Danielle holds a Master's degree in Fisheries Management and Conservation from the University of Miami and a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science from UCLA.
