Lauren Kashiwabara

Lauren Kashiwabara is a Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Sciences Ph.D. candidate at Oregon State University. Lauren recently won a research grant from ACS-LA and is currently based at OSU’s Hatfield Marine Science Center where she works in the Brander lab to look at the presence and effects of microplastics in the gray whale food web.

Lauren Kashiwabara is a Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Sciences Ph.D. candidate at Oregon State University. She completed her Marine Science B.S. at CSU Monterey Bay and her Biological Sciences M.S. at the University of the Pacific. Lauren recently won a research grant from ACS-LA and is currently based at OSU’s Hatfield Marine Science Center where she works in the Brander lab to look at the presence and effects of microplastics in the gray whale food web.
